College English Department

大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部是一支梯隊(duì)結(jié)構(gòu)合理、充滿朝氣、積極向上、迅速成長的隊(duì)伍?，F(xiàn)有專任教師35名，其中副教授13名，講師19名，承擔(dān)全校60多個(gè)專業(yè)140多個(gè)班級(jí)的《大學(xué)英語》課程以及所有《研究生英語》課程。

College English department, a team of full vitality, is in positive and rapid growth, with a well-structured echelon—13 associate professors, 19 lecturers among the 35 full-time teachers. The department undertakes College English and Post-graduate English courses for more than 60 majors (a total of 140 classes) of the university as a whole.

大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部重視提高教師隊(duì)伍的整體業(yè)務(wù)能力和綜合素質(zhì)。通過開展形式多樣的教學(xué)研討、授課觀摩等活動(dòng)，促進(jìn)教師間互相交流學(xué)習(xí)，鼓勵(lì)教師積極參加各級(jí)各類教學(xué)競賽，成績卓然。近年來，共有1名教師榮獲“外研社全國高等學(xué)校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)示范評(píng)比”一等獎(jiǎng)；1名教師榮獲“外研社全國高等學(xué)校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)之星（復(fù)賽）”冠軍；1名教師榮獲“泉州師范學(xué)院示范教學(xué)觀摩獎(jiǎng)”；1名教師榮獲“泉州師范學(xué)院本科教學(xué)優(yōu)秀獎(jiǎng)”一等獎(jiǎng)；3名教師榮獲“泉州師范學(xué)院教師教學(xué)競賽”一等獎(jiǎng)。

The department attaches much importance to improving comprehensive qualities and professional competence of the faculty, encouraging teachers to exchange ideas through various activities such as seminars and demonstrations. With encouragement from the department, many teachers take part in diversified teaching competitions and achieve outstanding results: one first prize of FLTRP National College English Teaching Demonstration and Evaluation, one championship of FLTRP National College English Star Teacher Contest (semifinal), one award of QNU Teaching Demonstration, one first prize of QNU Teaching Excellence and three first prizes of QNU Teaching Competition.

大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部不斷鼓勵(lì)教師在教學(xué)科研中大膽探索創(chuàng)新。團(tuán)隊(duì)成員共獲批省部級(jí)課題12項(xiàng)，省廳級(jí)課題16項(xiàng)，市級(jí)課題 10項(xiàng)，校級(jí)課題8項(xiàng)；發(fā)表論文 80余篇，其中20篇為核心期刊論文。2016年9月，我?！洞髮W(xué)英語》課程入選“省級(jí)精品在線開放課程項(xiàng)目”；2018年8月我校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革項(xiàng)目獲批“福建省本科高校教育教學(xué)改革（重大）教改項(xiàng)目”。

The department also encourages teachers to innovate in teaching research. 12 provincial projects, 16 provincial level projects, 10 municipal projects and 8 college projects are approved and 80 papers are published, among which 20 are in core journals. Additionally, the College English Course was elected as the provincial Open Online Course in September 2016. In August 2018, the College English Teaching Reform Project was approved as Major Education and Teaching Reform Program in Undergraduate Universities of Fujian Province.

大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部注重課程質(zhì)量以及學(xué)生實(shí)際英語水平的提高。全國大學(xué)英語四六級(jí)考試通過率逐年提高，穩(wěn)中有升。此外，大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部還積極組織發(fā)動(dòng)學(xué)生參加全國大學(xué)生英語競賽、“外研社杯”演講、寫作、閱讀大賽等。自 2013年至2019年5月，全國大學(xué)生英語競賽共有9名學(xué)生獲全國特等獎(jiǎng)，57名學(xué)生獲全國一等獎(jiǎng)；“外研社杯”賽事共有6名學(xué)生獲省一等獎(jiǎng)。

Moreover, the department concentrates on curriculums and students' practical English abilities. The rates of students passing CET-4 and CET-6 are on the rise year by year. Besides, students are motivated and organized to take part in competitions such as National English Competition for College Students, and FLTRP Cup English Public Speaking, Writing and Reading Contest. Since 2013 there have been nine top prizes and 57 first prizes in National English Competition for College Students, and six first prizes in FLTRP Cup provincial contests.

大學(xué)英語教學(xué)部團(tuán)隊(duì)成員正以極大的熱情和干勁、不斷開拓進(jìn)取，大膽探索創(chuàng)新，力爭在教學(xué)管理、教學(xué)質(zhì)量、科研水平和師資隊(duì)伍上把團(tuán)隊(duì)建設(shè)提高到一個(gè)新的水平。
