  1983年、1986年、1990年在清華大學(xué)電機(jī)系獲工學(xué)學(xué)士、碩士、博士學(xué)位;1990年5月至1992年4月在中國(guó)科學(xué)院物理研究所作博士后,1992年5月至今在清華大學(xué)電機(jī)系任教,2000年晉升教授。1994年至1997年在德國(guó)斯圖加特大學(xué)、達(dá)姆斯達(dá)特大學(xué)、杜塞爾多夫大學(xué)作訪問(wèn)學(xué)者。目前的主要研究方向?yàn)闅怏w放電等離子體、介質(zhì)阻擋放電、氣體放電相似性、脈沖功率技術(shù)、X箍縮、Z箍縮。主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目6項(xiàng)(其中重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)),國(guó)家重大科技專項(xiàng)子課題3項(xiàng),863項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng),國(guó)際原子能機(jī)構(gòu)(IAEA)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)。擔(dān)任中國(guó)脈沖技術(shù)及應(yīng)用學(xué)會(huì)理事、中國(guó)電機(jī)工程學(xué)會(huì)高電壓新技術(shù)專委會(huì)委員、歐亞脈沖功率會(huì)議國(guó)際組織委員會(huì)委員、“高電壓與電磁兼容北京市重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)委員,“特種電氣技術(shù)教育部重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)委員,中國(guó)工程物理研究院“脈沖功率科學(xué)與技術(shù)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室”學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)委員。《高電壓技術(shù)》期刊編委會(huì)委員?!吨袊?guó)電氣工程大典》第1卷第7篇“脈沖功率技術(shù)基礎(chǔ)”主編。發(fā)表論文200余篇,其中SCI收錄80多篇。2011年和2012年兩次獲得教育部自然科學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng)(第2完成人和第1完成人)。所指導(dǎo)的博士生學(xué)位論文兩人獲評(píng)“全國(guó)百篇優(yōu)秀博士論文”(2006年和2012年,5人獲評(píng)“清華大學(xué)優(yōu)秀博士論文”。
