田玉平，1964年出生。教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)控制研究所所長。教育部“長江學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃”特聘教授（第四批，控制理論與控制工程學(xué)科）,國家杰出青年基金獲得者（2004年）。1986年清華大學(xué)自動(dòng)化系本科畢業(yè)，獲學(xué)士學(xué)位；1991年莫斯科動(dòng)力學(xué)院自動(dòng)化與計(jì)算機(jī)技術(shù)系研究生畢業(yè)，獲前蘇聯(lián)自動(dòng)控制專業(yè)技術(shù)科學(xué)副博士學(xué)位(PhD)；1996年獲俄羅斯自動(dòng)控制專業(yè)技術(shù)科學(xué)博士學(xué)位(ScD)。
